There are many reasons to electrify your upright player piano. Maybe you are tired of pedaling away every time you want to hear a roll. Remember, these machines were made before electricity was everywhere, so pedaling was the only way to go. Perhaps your player is getting a bit leaky, and adding the electric pump is a way to overcome all the leaks and get it playing again.

Electrification does not mean that you lose the ability to pedal the player. These systems all come with check valves that allow either manual or electric operation. If your player pedaled well before electrification, it will act no different after.

Player Piano Company of Wichita is now back in business selling their product, but availability is still in question.  Some vendors such as Schaff piano and other on-line vendors that are reselling their product have been having difficulties obtaining stock.  We have product in stock and can usually ship within two days of receipt of payment.

End of roll auto rewind, auto shut off and push button re-roll are just a few of the features of this kit. No more bulky rewind pneumatic to install, no slap switch to mess with in the spoolbox. Make your piano play as simply as a universal piano of the 80's.... put the roll in, set the transmission to play and push the button! 

Currently, the BT-001 is still in development. We have been so busy with restoration work and producing the BT-002 kits that we can't get the time to bring this product to completion. It is a great little device, it just needs a bit more 'beta' testing before it can be offered to the general public and mass produced. Once you try one of these, you'll never install the old slap switch and pneumatic rewind again!!!
